サッカーや野球に続く「テクノスポーツ」という数十兆円規模の新産業を切り開く

Hello everyone. I am Hiroshi Fukuda, CEO of meleap. Thank you for having me today.

We are an AR (Augmented Reality) startup celebrating our 12th year, specializing in the development and global operation of a new category of physical activity called "HADO."

Our vision is to build a multi-trillion yen market for "techno-sports"—the next generation of sports following traditional analog sports (like soccer, baseball, and tennis) and industrial-era motorsports.

As technologies like AI, VR, 5G, and smart devices advance, the emergence of tech-driven sports is inevitable. We aim to establish HADO as the flagship of this movement, eventually building it into the world's most popular sport—surpassing soccer—and securing its spot as an official Olympic event.

HADO has expanded to 40 countries, with a global player base exceeding 5 million. More than 1,000 corporate clients have utilized HADO in Japan, and it is currently used in over 2,000 schools worldwide.

練習時間はわずか3分。障がいや年齢の壁を超えて誰もが「魔法」を放てるHADOの魅力

HADO is played by wearing a head-mounted display (AR goggles) and a wrist sensor. Players move on a real court, shooting virtual "energy balls" from their hands to score points.

The core appeal of HADO lies in its accessibility. Unlike traditional sports that require years of training, anyone can learn to play HADO in just three minutes.

It bridges age and physical gaps, allowing children and grandparents to compete together. Furthermore, individuals in wheelchairs or with physical disabilities can play on the same court and compete equally.

Despite its simplicity, HADO offers deep strategic depth. Before a match, players customize their biometric parameters, adjusting their energy balls' "speed," "size," "reload rate," and the "number and strength of shields." In addition to player-vs-player matches, we offer cooperative PvE (Player-vs-Environment) modes where teams fight massive AR monsters.

Because gameplay relies on non-verbal visual cues, it transcends language barriers, allowing players from different countries to connect instantly on the court.

Beyond amusement centers and recreational arenas, HADO is expanding into classrooms and corporate environments.

Recently, HADO has been rapidly adopted in physical education (PE) classes globally.
PE teachers report that students who normally dislike physical activities and avoid team sports become highly active, collaborating on strategies and running enthusiastically when playing HADO.

Moreover, HADO has shown profound results in supporting students dealing with truancy. There are numerous cases where students who refused to attend school began coming back to participate in HADO clubs, eventually taking on leadership roles within their teams.

HADO is not just about physical exercise; it acts as an active learning tool. Students analyze data, optimize shield placement, and run PDCA cycles, which fosters analytical thinking and collaborative communication.

For corporate clients, we turn offices into HADO courts. Major enterprises utilize HADO as a physical team-building and leadership development program.

上海の湖上に800mの特設ステージ。3万人を動員したHADOワールドカップの熱狂`

HADO is also designed as a major spectator sport.

We host the annual "HADO World Cup." Last year's tournament was held in Shanghai, China, where we built a massive 800-meter outdoor venue over a lake. We docked a giant ship alongside the venue and set up the main stage on top of it, where national teams from 18 countries competed.

The event attracted approximately 30,000 spectators and was broadcast live worldwide. By securing corporate sponsorships, we have established HADO as a highly engaging spectator entertainment business.

Our long-term goal is to grow our world championship into a global tournament watched by over 100 million fans online and offline.

ドラゴンボールやウルトラマンとのコラボも。IP世界観をリアル体験するカスタマイズ展開

Furthermore, we leverage HADO’s AR engine to create custom content in partnership with global anime and pop-culture IPs (Intellectual Properties).

We have collaborated with famous franchises like *Dragon Ball*, *Ultraman*, and *Kamen Rider*, allowing players to step into the shoes of their favorite heroes, shooting iconic energy beams from their hands to defeat villains. These IP collaborations serve as powerful crowd-pullers for shopping centers and local government events.

Through HADO, we aim to build a world where anyone can naturally enjoy physical activity, promoting mental and physical wellness across borders. We invite you to join us on this journey to redefine sports history from Japan. Thank you very much.

質疑応答・フィードバック

島澤氏(コメンテーター): Thank you, Mr. Fukuda. HADO looks incredibly exciting. How many permanent facilities do you currently have?

福田氏: Thank you. In Japan, HADO is available at over a dozen commercial facilities, including three permanent courts in the Tokyo area.

島澤氏: The fact that anyone can play instantly without prior training makes it highly accessible for families and corporate events. Since you are in your 12th year, are you managing these international tournaments yourselves?

福田氏: Yes, we host and manage the major tournaments. Building a stage on a lake in Shanghai was a huge operational challenge, but we successfully executed it with the support of our global corporate sponsors.

島澤氏: Are you planning a consumer version for home devices?

福田氏: While we currently prioritize our B2B location-based and educational models, we plan to expand into B2C home entertainment devices in the future.

島澤氏: This is a perfect fusion of sports and gaming—areas where Japan excels. I can definitely see HADO becoming an Olympic sport. We look forward to your global growth.

福田氏: Thank you. We will continue our push to become the world’s number one sport.
