Advance Composite Co., Ltd. has announced the successful completion of its Series B funding round through a third-party allotment of shares to Energy & Environment Investment, Inc. (EEI). This latest investment follows the company’s Series A round earlier in 2024, marking continued support from EEI. The newly raised capital will be allocated toward expanding production capacity and supply chain infrastructure for mass-market products, accelerating the commercialization of new development projects, upgrading manufacturing equipment, and enhancing quality assurance and recruitment efforts.
Founded in 2015 and based in Fuji City, Shizuoka, Advance Composite is a deep-tech startup specializing in the development, manufacturing, and sale of Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs). Leveraging its proprietary "Liquid Forge Method," the company creates advanced materials by fusing metals like aluminum with ceramics or graphite. These composites deliver a unique combination of high thermal conductivity, lightweight characteristics, structural rigidity, and vibration damping—performance profiles that are virtually impossible to achieve with conventional single-material solutions.
As the explosion of AI and the global expansion of data centers drive an urgent need for advanced thermal management and weight reduction, Advance Composite’s material solutions are becoming increasingly critical. The company plans to scale its business by ramping up existing production lines while simultaneously moving collaborative R&D projects with customers into the mass-production phase. By strengthening its manufacturing footprint and ensuring a stable supply of high-performance materials, Advance Composite aims to accelerate the drive toward energy efficiency and the realization of a sustainable society through material innovation.
