Aeterlink Corp., a provider of wireless power transfer solutions, has adopted "Shikikin Samgaku-kun," an office security deposit reduction service provided by Nisshopo Co., Ltd. By mitigating the heavy financial burden of security deposits associated with office relocation and leasing, the company is strategically reallocating its cash reserves into areas directly tied to business growth, such as research and development and engineer recruitment.
"Shikikin Samgaku-kun" is a service that reduces the security deposit required upon concluding a lease agreement by half and up to zero yen. By Nisshopo guaranteeing an amount equivalent to the security deposit to the landlord, startup companies can avoid freezing large amounts of capital as fixed assets and operate their businesses with high liquidity. Kazuhiro Esashi, CAO of Aeterlink, cited the improvement of cash flow challenges and the enhancement of investment efficiency as the main objectives for adoption.
Aeterlink is a deep-tech startup originating from Stanford University, specializing in its core spatial-transmission wireless power transfer solution, "AirPlug™." For the company in its growth phase, securing and effectively utilizing capital is an urgent management priority. This adoption serves as a prime example of positioning the office not merely as a cost center, but as a financial strategy tool to leverage business operations.
Currently, the company is promoting the social implementation of "AirPlug™" across a wide range of fields, including factory automation, building management, and retail. By proactively channeling the capital secured through this service into business investments, Aeterlink aims to accelerate the practical application of its technology and further deepen its efforts toward realizing a cord-free digital world.
