While the adoption of autonomous AI agents executing tasks continues to grow, the risk of "Rogue AI"—where systems take unintended actions—has become a significant challenge. Traditional rule-based restrictions make it difficult to completely control increasingly complex AI behaviors.
As a promising solution to this challenge, control methodologies powered by additional AI are gaining attention. By building a "meta-AI" layer (an AI that supervises other AI) to monitor AI behavior in real-time and preemptively block aberrant actions, it becomes possible to apply advanced, context-aware anomaly detection and safeguards.
With the widespread adoption of AI agents, developing frameworks that verify the validity of their actions, alongside improving standalone model performance, is expected to become a critical industry-wide challenge. Moving forward, system designs that integrate technological development with safety measures will become an indispensable requirement for the next generation of AI utilization.
