Ajiwau Inc. has been selected for "Techstars Tokyo 2026," a program run by the world-renowned startup accelerator Techstars. Out of applications from over 100 countries and regions worldwide, the company was chosen as one of only 12 startups, successfully passing an extremely competitive selection process with an acceptance rate of just 1%. As part of the program participation, it has been decided that Ajiwau will receive $120,000 USD in funding per company from the fund established by Techstars.
Ajiwau Inc. operates a business called "ROKU SHOKU," which records culinary culture and the cooking techniques of seasoned experts, reproducing them across time and space. As a food tech startup, the company aims to pass down culinary experiences to the next generation and make them reproducible by converting the tacit knowledge of chefs into data.
Through participation in this acceleration program, Ajiwau will maximize its use of Techstars' globally maintained network of mentors, entrepreneurs, and investors. The company plans to refine the "ROKU SHOKU" business model, steadily advance its social implementation within Japan, and accelerate global expansion to deliver Japanese culinary culture to the world.
