Overview of Fundraising

Akiya, Inc., through its parent company AX Holdings Co., Ltd., has completed the second close of its late-seed round, securing a total of 370 million yen in funding. The newly raised capital will be allocated toward expanding the vacant house revitalization business, strengthening property selection, acquisition, and renovation structures for the new "Akiya no Kaigo" and "Akiya no Fukushi" services, as well as enhancing recruitment and operational infrastructure.

About Akiya, Inc.

Founded in June 2021 as a real estate startup with the mission "Make full use of Japan," the company develops businesses that repurpose abandoned vacant houses into high-demand uses. Its core business, "Akiya no Kurusumu," provides company housing for foreign nationals. Since January 2025, Akiya has handled a cumulative total of over 100 vacant house revitalization projects.

New Services: "Akiya no Kaigo" and "Akiya no Fukushi"

In August 2026, Akiya officially launched its new services, "Akiya no Kaigo" and "Akiya no Fukushi," expanding its vacant house regeneration expertise into the nursing care and welfare sectors. Under these services, Akiya handles everything from property selection and acquisition to renovation tailored to the needs of nursing care and welfare operators, leasing the properties out as nursing facilities and group homes. This enables operators to open new facilities while significantly reducing their initial investment burden.

Future Outlook

Moving forward, with "Akiya no Kurusumu" and "Akiya no Kaigo" / "Akiya no Fukushi" as its twin pillars, the company will scale its initiatives nationwide to transform vacant houses into local community infrastructure. By restarting neglected vacant homes as receptacles for housing and nursing care, Akiya aims to solve pressing social challenges.
