AZOO Inc. has announced the completion of a 490 million yen (approx. $3.2M USD) Series A funding round. Led by Mobile Internet Capital, the round also saw participation from multiple investors including DNX Capital, Kyoshin Social Capital, and ALL STAR SAAS FUND. The newly raised capital will be used to accelerate the development of AI agents for its flagship integrated hotel OS, "WASIMIL," and to strengthen the recruitment of specialized talent to drive DX and AX (AI Transformation) on the front lines of hospitality.
Founded in 2020, AZOO is a startup with a mission to "transform the operational model of the hospitality industry through data and AI to drive Japan's growth as a tourism-oriented nation," addressing the industry's structural labor shortages. Its core offering, "WASIMIL," is an integrated hotel operating system that combines a Property Management System (PMS) with over 15 functions, including CRM, accounting, and marketing, providing end-to-end coverage for fragmented hotel operations.
Rather than merely providing software, AZOO aims to drive the AX (AI Transformation) of hotel operations themselves. The company is currently leveraging AI agents to promote autonomous decision-making and execution in hotel management, such as demand forecasting and shift scheduling. Additionally, AZOO deploys "Deployment Strategists (DS)" to provide hands-on implementation support on-site, establishing a framework that covers everything from strategy to front-line execution, thereby maximizing operational efficiency and profitability for accommodation facilities.
