The BEYOND Executive Committee—comprising taliki Inc., the City of Kyoto, and Kyoto Research Park Corp.—has announced that the 10th annual social conference, "BEYOND 2026," will be held on October 30 and 31, 2026, at Kyoto Research Park. This landmark 10th edition centers on the theme, "What Business and Social Sectors Can Do for Peace," inviting visionary leaders from diverse industries to discuss and design sustainable social infrastructure that transcends traditional sectoral boundaries.
The event features a distinguished lineup of experts in defense and security, municipal leaders, journalists, and social entrepreneurs. The conference will open with a keynote session titled "Who Polishes the 'Invisible Window'?" followed by deep-dive talk sessions sharing practical implementation insights from conflict-affected regions and exploring peacebuilding through the lens of regional management. Additionally, the venue will host exhibition booths featuring cutting-edge solutions in disaster prevention, environmental sustainability, and social welfare.
A major highlight of the conference is the "Social Entrepreneur SCALE PITCH," where growth-stage companies will present their visions to hundreds of key stakeholders. The committee is currently seeking applications from for-profit enterprises—typically in the Pre-Series A to Series A stages—that leverage business to tackle pressing social issues. Selected participants will gain direct access to business expansion opportunities, including dedicated co-creation meetings with sponsoring corporations. The application deadline is September 30, 2026.
