Strategic Funding to Accelerate Decarbonization

On August 14, 2026, Carbon Xtract Corporation completed the first close of its Pre-Series A funding round via third-party allotment. Alongside this capital injection, the company has transitioned to a new capital structure in which the management team holds a majority of voting rights. This move is designed to streamline decision-making and accelerate the social implementation of climate change solutions. The newly raised funds will be utilized for demonstration projects of the company's proprietary "m-DAC®" technology, the establishment of mass production systems, and the expansion of its R&D and business development teams.

"m-DAC®": Revolutionizing Carbon Capture with Membrane Technology

Founded in May 2023, Carbon Xtract builds its business on world-class CO2 separation membrane technology developed at Kyushu University. Their flagship "m-DAC®" (membrane-based Direct Air Capture) technology features a simplified architecture that eliminates the need for high-heat processes. Operating much like an air purifier, the system selectively captures CO2 from the atmosphere. Its compact, modular design enables decentralized installation, aiming to support a broad carbon-circulating society with applications ranging from agriculture and beverage production to future fuel conversion.

Future Outlook: A New Phase of Strategic Growth

Entering what it calls its "Second Founding Phase," Carbon Xtract is poised to drive business expansion under its revamped management structure. The company will maintain a close strategic partnership with founding shareholder Sojitz Corporation to implement its technology and explore new market opportunities. Furthermore, Carbon Xtract plans to finalize the Pre-Series A round with a second close scheduled by the end of 2026.
