DeltaForesight Inc. has raised a total of ¥324 million through the issuance of J-KISS-type share acquisition rights. The funding round was led by Coral Capital, with participation from FFG Venture Business Partners, Decima Fund, Animoca Brands KK, HashPort Inc., DeFimans Inc., and Narrative Inc., among others.
The company is currently developing "JPY DeFi," a decentralized finance protocol that allows users to borrow "JPYdf"—a stablecoin aimed at maintaining parity with the Japanese yen—by using cryptocurrencies and other stablecoins as collateral. Unlike traditional fiat-backed stablecoins, JPYdf generates yen-denominated liquidity using global crypto assets as collateral, aiming to expand the on-chain yen economic zone.
Representative Director and CEO Yusuke Shinto founded the company after working as a certified public accountant auditing financial institutions and crypto asset exchanges, followed by service launches at Mercari and Mercoin, and serving as CFO at Animoca Brands. Emphasizing a balance between regulatory compliance and product development, the team aims to implement a new financial infrastructure in Japan.
The newly raised capital will be allocated toward development and infrastructure preparation for the mainnet launch of JPY DeFi. Specifically, the company plans to conduct external security audits, establish operational and monitoring frameworks, and hire specialized talent. Moving forward, DeltaForesight intends to continue advancing its regulatory and service delivery considerations ahead of the mainnet launch.
