On October 7, 2026, Freeway Financial Co., Ltd. launched a new "Multiple Card Payment" feature for its B2B payment service, "Freeway Invoice Card Payment." This new functionality allows users to combine up to five credit cards to settle a single business invoice or social insurance premium payment.
The newly added feature allows users to assign multiple cards to a single payment reservation and arbitrarily specify the amount to be charged to each card. Because the transfer to the payee is consolidated into a single transaction, users can defer payments by managing their credit limits without increasing the administrative burden on the payee. This service applies to payments of 100,000 yen or more and supports Visa and Mastercard (including credit, debit, and prepaid cards).
"Freeway Invoice Card Payment" is a service that shifts bank transfers and social insurance payments to card settlements, enabling users to defer payments by up to 60 days. Since its launch in March 2024, the cumulative transaction volume has exceeded 2.6 billion yen. Previously, the service was limited to one card per payment, which often posed a challenge regarding credit limits during large-scale transactions. This update resolves these cash flow constraints through the combined use of multiple cards.
To use this feature, 3D Secure authentication is required for all cards. Additionally, cards issued by JCB and Credit Saison are excluded from this feature. Only the earliest available transfer date can be selected for the transfer date, and if even a single card fails authorization, all transactions in the batch will be canceled.
