GameGum Inc. (Headquarters: Sakaiminato, Tottori Prefecture; Representative Director: Takashi Kuroda) has announced that it raised a total of 30 million yen in a pre-seed funding round in July 2026. This round was led by Hyperion Inc., with participation from CafeGroup Inc. and Incubate Fund Inc. as underwriters.
Established in February 2024, GameGum is an "IP company born from gaming" that supports the global expansion of Japanese brands and IPs on the next-generation entertainment platform Roblox. The company provides end-to-end services covering planning, promotion, content development, and operation. Its core offerings include brand marketing solutions utilizing Roblox, adapting popular IPs into Roblox content, and creator training programs.
The newly raised capital will be allocated toward recruitment for organizational expansion and strengthening the company's development structure. Specifically, GameGum plans to hire more producers, directors, engineers, and designers to enhance the quality and ensure the stable delivery of its game-producing and creative entertainment businesses.
Moving forward, the company intends to accelerate the development of large-scale titles targeting millions of users and deepen collaborations with IP holders. Furthermore, by operating events such as the "GameJam" work contest, GameGum aims to foster a creator community, continuously generate hit titles on Roblox, and build an ecosystem where creators, IP holders, and users co-create value.
