Driven by the harsh personal experience of losing his voice to cancer, a founder is developing an innovative device called "Glasses for Voice" to break down communication barriers. This hardware project aims to replace lost voices and fundamentally improve the quality of daily conversations.
Adopting an eyewear form factor, the device analyzes surrounding conditions and visual cues to generate speech. Its wearable design assists communication naturally through gaze and movement, eliminating the need to manually operate handheld devices.
While conventional speech synthesis technologies have largely relied on manual input or specific switch operations, this project aims to express user intent more seamlessly by incorporating visual information-based analysis. The founder's own experience is reflected in the design of an intuitive interface unlike any existing assistive device.
Currently in the prototype development and verification stage, the team is focusing on improving speech generation accuracy and maximizing wearing comfort. As the technology is refined, a roadmap is in place to provide a new means of communication for individuals who have lost their voices.
