Google has announced "WikiSkill," a novel technology designed to enable autonomous self-improvement in AI agents by accumulating and learning from past experiences. The goal of this technology is to help AI agents record and store past failures and successes in a "Wiki" format, allowing them to reference these insights in future tasks to improve problem-solving accuracy.
WikiSkill provides AI agents with a "persistent memory" mechanism. Traditional AI models often struggle with long-term learning because they can only retain information within the context window of a single conversation. By establishing a memory layer that functions as an external knowledge base, WikiSkill enables AI to retrieve its past lessons over the long term and optimize its decision-making processes.
With the introduction of WikiSkill, AI agents are expected to continuously evolve while enhancing their self-correction capabilities in repetitive tasks. Through this technology, Google aims to increase AI reliability and expand its adaptability to more complex and practical real-world tasks.
