Happy Smile Co., Ltd., the operator of the comprehensive photo sales platform "Minna no Omoide .com," has announced a successful funding round via third-party allotment. The investment comes from the "Saitama Shibusawa MIX Innovation Creation Support Investment Limited Partnership"—a strategic fund jointly established by Saitama Prefecture, the Japan Finance Corporation (JFC), regional financial institutions within Saitama, and Miraidoor Co., Ltd. The funding transaction was finalized as of August 31, 2026.
Founded in April 2012 under the corporate philosophy of "Creating and Cultivating Fans," Happy Smile is headquartered in Saitama City. The company provides a turn-key platform for organizations to manage the entire lifecycle of photo sales—from digital exhibition and ordering to payment processing, printing, and logistics.
As of the end of July 2026, the platform has surpassed 9,300 partner organizations. While its roots are deep in the nursery and kindergarten sectors, its adoption has expanded rapidly into sports teams, theater troupes, and welfare facilities, demonstrating the versatile demand for its end-to-end solution.
The newly acquired capital is earmarked for organizational strengthening, with a primary focus on securing high-level engineering talent to lead system development. Happy Smile has identified the construction of a robust internal development framework as a critical requirement for balancing the expansion of existing operations with the roll-out of new services.
Kenichi Sato, President and CEO of Happy Smile, noted that receiving support from a fund carrying the name of Eiichi Shibusawa—celebrated for his spirit of "pursuing the public interest"—serves as a powerful catalyst for the company. Sato aims to evolve the service into a next-generation platform, aspiring to become a global enterprise that delivers "surprise and inspiration" through the power of photography.
