Ibex Japan K.K. (hereinafter "Ibex") has been commissioned by Miyagi Prefecture to execute the "Expert Dispatch Services for Startup Companies" and launched an expert dispatch program targeted at tech startups on August 17, 2026. This program is implemented as part of efforts to strengthen the startup ecosystem in Miyagi Prefecture.
Under this program, management and business challenges are identified through preliminary interviews with participating companies. Based on these insights, Ibex selects the most suitable experts from its domestic and international network of VCs, CVCs, startup founders, researchers, and attorneys. Through 60-minute online sessions, participating companies can clarify concrete action plans to resolve individual challenges, such as technology commercialization, PoC and market validation, product and business strategy, fundraising, and global expansion.
This program is primarily targeted at startups founded within the past 15 years that are members of "Techsta Miyagi" (Tech Startup Support Consortium Miyagi). The application period runs from August 17 to December 31, 2026, though applications will close as soon as the maximum capacity of participating companies is reached.
Miyagi Prefecture is home to Tohoku University, which was certified as an "International Excellent Research University" by the national government in 2024. As of March 2025, the university has produced over 236 startups, actively fostering a wide range of business creations—from DeepTech startups leveraging research outcomes to social startups capitalizing on regional characteristics. Through this program, Ibex aims to expand its support infrastructure cultivated in the Kansai region to Miyagi, empowering startups aiming to scale from the region to the global stage.
