Background and Overview of the Funding

Josan-she's Co., Ltd. has raised 400 million yen in a Series A round through a third-party allotment of shares. With this latest round, the company's total funding to date has reached approximately 680 million yen. The round was led by the WPower Fund, with participation from NEXTBLUE TOKYO Investment Limited Partnership, FFG Venture Business Partners, Daiwa House Ventures Co., Ltd., Sekisui House Investment Limited Partnership, and several angel investors.

Social Implementation Amed at by Josan-she's

Operating under the mission to "build a social framework where people can rely on professionals," Josan-she's is a startup dedicated to establishing infrastructure for prenatal and postnatal care. Although midwives possess high levels of expertise, many become dormant professionals due to a lack of flexible working options. Leveraging a network of approximately 3,000 midwives, the company integrates home-visit services, the operation of postnatal care facilities, and recruitment services for maternity hospitals. With this new funding, Josan-she's aims to expand its platform and strengthen partnerships with local governments and maternity hospitals, ultimately embedding prenatal and postnatal care as a standard social infrastructure.
