Kimino Tonari Inc. has announced the completion of its Series A funding round. The round was led by venture capital firm Animal Spirits, with additional participation through a third-party allotment of shares to Animal Spirits and Route Inc., alongside debt financing from Mizuho Bank. The specific amount raised has not been disclosed.
Kimino Tonari is an AI startup on a mission to alleviate the labor supply constraints in "empathy-driven professions" and deliver emotional support to a broader audience. Established in November 2024, the company currently develops and operates the AI fortune-telling app "Uratchi." By analyzing relationship dynamics and individual tendencies from users' daily conversational data through AI, Uratchi offers a deeply personalized life-companion experience delivered in the format of fortune-telling.
Proceeds from this funding round will be allocated toward enhancing the core product, Uratchi, and expanding its user base. Moving beyond a transactional fortune-telling service, the company plans to strengthen features that provide long-term daily support for users through the sharing of everyday events and personalized advice. Looking ahead, Kimino Tonari aims to expand its business into diverse sectors that require empathetic engagement beyond the realm of divination.
