A India-based startup has successfully secured funding to develop an aircraft capable of remaining airborne for up to a full year. Renowned investor Lachy Groom participated in this funding round.
The official name of the startup has not yet been disclosed. The company is currently engaged in the development of specialized aircraft technology designed to maintain prolonged flight at high altitudes.
The newly raised capital is expected to be allocated toward the design and development of energy supply systems and airframe structures, which are critical for enabling the aircraft to sustain long-term continuous flight. Once established, this technology is anticipated to enable high-altitude service deployment that was previously difficult with conventional methods, such as meteorological observation and the provision of communication infrastructure.
