Medical Device Startup Accelerator Program Opens Applications for Season 6

Program Overview

Premo Partner Inc., an incubator specializing in medical device development, has opened applications for "MedTech Angels Season 6," an accelerator program targeted at startups in the medical and healthcare sectors. The program aims to support everything from the exploration of medical needs based on the Biodesign methodology to commercialization and growth.

Support Provided

Over the course of approximately five months, participating teams will receive specialized knowledge essential for launching a MedTech business. Specifically, lectures will be held on topics such as regulatory approval, insurance reimbursement, QMS (Quality Management System), fundraising, and business development/marketing. Furthermore, through team-specific mentoring by experts in each field, tailored support will be provided to solve individual business challenges.

Expert Network and Demo Day

The program offers opportunities to build a network with experts, including seasoned entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, and former officials from Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA). As the culmination of the program, a "Demo Day" for pitching results will be held on June 3, 2027, comprehensively supporting the growth of the businesses.

Schedule and Application Method

The application deadline for the program is October 31, 2026. An online information session for prospective applicants is scheduled for September 16, 2026. Teams that pass the selection process will participate in a kick-off event in December 2026, followed by an approximately five-month acceleration period running through May 2027.
