Medteria Inc. has announced that it has raised a total of 140 million yen through a combination of a 100 million yen third-party allotment of shares and a 40 million yen capital-subordinated loan from the Japan Finance Corporation. With this latest round, the company's cumulative funding has reached 240 million yen.
Operated by Medteria Inc., "Medteria" is a healthcare communication cloud that connects medical professionals and medical students across institutional and regional boundaries. Currently utilized by approximately 60,000 users, primarily physicians and medical students, it is growing as a platform for knowledge sharing and information exchange within the community.
The newly raised capital will be allocated toward feature and service development for "Medteria" as well as the expansion of its user base. Furthermore, the company plans to strengthen its enterprise-facing business targeting medical institutions and healthcare-related companies (including recruitment support, ad distribution, and research/marketing support). By scaling up its organizational structure in sales, business development, and product development, Medteria aims to accelerate its value proposition as a platform connecting people, information, and opportunities in the healthcare industry.
