Z Venture Capital (ZVC) has announced its investment in Milaif Group, which includes Milaif Co., Ltd. and Milaif Support Co., Ltd. This move comes as part of a buyout investment led by Boost Capital, with ZVC participating as a co-investor in the deal.
Milaif Group operates approximately 150 "Chamber of Commerce and Industry PC Classrooms" across Japan. With over 20 years of experience in community-based operations, the group has established a high level of trust, particularly among the senior demographic. This extensive nationwide network of physical touchpoints is considered a unique and valuable asset in the digital age.
ZVC identified significant potential in evolving Milaif Group’s physical classroom infrastructure and customer base by integrating AI technologies. Looking ahead, ZVC aims to explore synergies with the diverse service portfolio of the LY Corporation (LINE Yahoo) Group. The goal is to support initiatives that broaden the reach of digital literacy and technology adoption within local communities across the country.
The transaction was executed through a private equity-style buyout scheme. The total investment amount and specific terms of the deal remain undisclosed per the official press release.
