Mugen Estate Co., Ltd. has announced that it has secured ¥200 million in funding through the 'Positive Impact Finance' program offered by Nishi-Nippon City Bank. The loan agreement was finalized on August 7, 2026, with a five-year repayment term.
Established in 1990 and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market, the company specializes in the acquisition and resale of pre-owned real estate. Their core business model focuses on revitalizing and recirculating existing properties, effectively optimizing resource use and contributing to a more sustainable society by reducing environmental impact.
The 'Positive Impact Finance' framework adopted by the company is based on principles advocated by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). This financing method involves a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of how a company's operations affect the environment, society, and the economy. With a third-party opinion provided by the Japan Credit Rating Agency (JCR) to ensure objectivity, the company intends to further accelerate its sustainability management practices.
The proceeds will be fully allocated toward operating capital for the company's core real estate acquisition and resale business. Having already made strides in TCFD-aligned disclosure and strategic human capital development, Mugen Estate expects this financing to further strengthen its commitment to addressing environmental and social challenges.
