Overview of Financing

Hako LR Corporation has announced the successful completion of an 8.3 billion yen syndicated loan arrangement for the construction project of "NLCS Kobe," the Japanese campus of North London Collegiate School (NLCS), one of the UK's premier international schools. Resona Bank, Limited served as the arranger (lead manager) for this framework, which was established with the participation of a total of six financial institutions that endorsed the project's vision.

About Hako LR

Building upon its proven track record in the luxury imported car dealership business, Hako LR is transforming into a comprehensive service provider targeting high-net-worth individuals. As a core pillar of this strategy, the company operates an international school that inherits the educational DNA of British NLCS, which boasts some of the highest International Baccalaureate (IB) scores in the world.

Purpose of Financing and Future Outlook

The funds raised will be allocated toward the construction costs of the new "Rokkosan Campus," scheduled to open in 2028 within the Rokkosan National Park. This large-scale project carries a total estimated cost of approximately 9.54 billion yen, with world-renowned architect Michele De Lucchi appointed for the design. Based on the concept of a "campus that coexists with the forest," the development will feature school buildings, an auditorium, a gymnasium, and boarding dormitories. The project aims to stimulate the regional economy and promote the employment of highly skilled talent through the creation of an international educational hub.
