Release Overview

Ownership Inc. has announced that its digital corporate bond platform, "OwnerShip Bond," has been selected as the issuance and management infrastructure for the self-offered digital corporate bond "Startale Japan Inc. 1st Guaranteed Digital Corporate Bond" (commonly known as the "Stablecoin Adoption Bond"), scheduled to be issued by Startale Japan Inc.

Platform Roles and Features

"OwnerShip Bond," adopted for this initiative, is a platform that provides one-stop support ranging from digital bond issuance and ongoing management to interest payments and redemption. For issuers, it offers functions such as application and deposit/withdrawal management, investor information management, interest payment and redemption calculations, withholding tax processing, and statutory document issuance. For investors, it delivers a highly convenient, fully online environment spanning from identity verification to the confirmation of holding status.

Advanced Digital Bond Initiative

This digital bond initiative marks the first time in Japan that interest payments and redemptions will be conducted utilizing "JPYSC," a Japanese Yen-denominated trust-type stablecoin. The receipt of interest and redemption funds will be handled through the "Startale App," a wallet provided by the Startale Group. Leveraging the expertise accumulated through its proprietary digital securities platform, Ownership is providing system-level support for this novel financial scheme.

Future Outlook

Ownership aims to popularize digital corporate bonds as a fundraising option that a broader range of enterprises can utilize. By feeding the insights gained from this project back into the enhancement of the platform and strengthening its capacity to handle diverse product designs, the company intends to contribute to the expansion of Japan's direct financial markets.
