Quantec, Inc., a deep tech company specializing in laser processing technology (Headquarters: Machida, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Hidero Kametaki), has raised a total of 100 million yen through a third-party allotment of shares. The funding was provided by the "Gogin Oen Musubi No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership," operated by Gogin Capital Co., Ltd.
Unlike conventional "equipment-first" processing methods that rely on existing light sources and machinery, Quantec adopts a "process-driven" approach. The company calculates optimal laser parameters—such as wavelength, pulse width, power, and irradiation conditions—by working backward from the desired processing results. Through its source-agnostic design philosophy, which is independent of specific light sources, Quantec delivers next-gen laser processing solutions that achieve both high cost-performance and superior quality.
To handle large-scale volume production projects secured in cutting-edge fields such as next-generation semiconductor packages (ABF substrates, glass substrates, etc.) and EVs, the newly raised funds will be allocated toward strengthening the following production infrastructure and operational frameworks:
1. Expansion of Production Capacity: Investments in manufacturing facility infrastructure, including power supply systems and evaluation measuring instruments.
2. Enhancement of Validation Environments: Expansion of laser processing verification environments for demonstrations and evaluations in cutting-edge sectors.
3. Talent Acquisition: Recruitment and development of top-tier process engineers and support staff to drive process parameter design.
