Diabetic foot complications remain a severe global health issue, with particularly high risks of lower-limb amputation and mortality in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Second Heart, which has established a local subsidiary in Malaysia, provides innovative solutions such as "Steplife," a remote foot-check service that allows patients to manage their condition from home, and a "Digital Tuning Fork" designed for rapid peripheral neuropathy screening. By integrating MRT’s established network of physicians, medical institutions, and government relations in countries like Vietnam, Second Heart aims to accelerate its business expansion from Malaysia into the wider ASEAN market.

Second Heart’s Business Strategy

Driven by the mission to "protect the feet of diabetic patients and achieve zero amputations," Second Heart is developing a comprehensive preventive medicine platform. The company already supports over 1,900 registered patients in Japan and is moving toward social implementation through joint research with Kyoto University and pilot programs with the Social Security Organization of Malaysia (PERKESO).
