Overview of the Call for Applications

As part of the "Shibuya Startup Support" initiative in collaboration with Shibuya Ward, the Shibuya International City Co-creation Organization (SII) has officially opened applications for the 4th cohort of the "S-Startups" certified startup program. This program is designed to certify high-potential startups growing from Shibuya to the global stage and provide robust backing for their ventures.

Benefits and Support for Certified Companies

The program targets pre-seed and early-stage startups based in Japan. Certified companies will receive free access to a community hub inside SHIBUYA BRIDGE (with registration rights), alongside comprehensive support including collaboration opportunities with Shibuya Ward and domestic enterprises, event speaking slots, networking with overseas startups and support organizations, and dedicated mentoring.

We are actively seeking companies aiming to solve local issues in Shibuya Ward or expand internationally. There are no restrictions on the business field, welcoming technology-driven solutions for social challenges, the creative-meets-technology sector, and advanced technology R&D. Application Schedule and Selection Process

Applications are open from Tuesday, September 1, 2026, until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Following document screening, pitch evaluations are scheduled for December.
