Funding Overview

MPower Partners, an ESG-focused global venture capital firm, has led a $22 million Series A funding round for California-based Teal Health. With this total funding secured, the company is entering a new growth phase aimed at expanding access to cervical cancer screening for a broader population of women.

About Teal Health

Teal Health is a healthcare company providing cervical cancer screening services redesigned from a woman's perspective. To alleviate the physical discomfort and psychological burden associated with traditional clinical examinations, the company developed the "Teal Wand™," a proprietary device that allows users to collect HPV test samples in the comfort of their homes. The product received FDA clearance in May 2025 and is delivered through an integrated telehealth platform that covers everything from screening to results and follow-up care.

Purpose of Funding and Future Outlook

This funding will be used to accelerate Teal Health's transition from a direct-to-consumer (D2C) model to an insurance-reimbursed model. With new U.S. federal guidelines taking effect in January 2027 that are expected to mandate insurance coverage for self-collected samples across many health plans, the company plans to use this capital to accelerate the establishment of a scalable care model. Additionally, Teal Health aims to improve health outcomes through increased screening rates and drive business expansion by leveraging the healthcare network of its lead investor, MPower.
