Forest Digital, Inc. officially changed its trade name to "URALAA Inc." (English: URALAA, inc.) effective September 1, 2026. The company provides "URALAA," a service that utilizes its proprietary immersive live streaming technology to transform existing venues such as theaters, cinemas, and arenas into immersive entertainment spaces. The corporate name change embodies the company's determination to pioneer Japan's immersive experience market.
The company's core strength lies in its vertically integrated system that seamlessly handles video production, distribution, and installation. In contrast to the massive, dedicated facility-building models pioneered in the U.S. like "Sphere" or "Cosm," URALAA has built an "asset-light" business model that leverages existing venues and equipment. This approach keeps investment costs down to approximately 500 million to 1 billion yen per location while delivering world-class 8K immersive live experiences. To date, the company has deployed its technology to over 50 locations, archived more than 1,300 titles, and secured four related patents.
URALAA Inc. has set a goal to expand its domestic deployment bases to 10 locations over the next three years. By strengthening partnerships with a diverse range of content holders—including sports, music, fireworks, anime, and VTubers—and keeping the development of company-operated flagship facilities in sight, the company aims to establish a Japan-originated industry within the rapidly growing immersive experience market.
