Silicon Valley-born age-tech startup Voxela, Inc. has completed a Series A funding round, raising approximately 2.1 billion yen (approx. $13.2 million USD) through the issuance of preferred stock. The round was led by Delight Ventures, with participation from new investors SOMPO Growth Partners, Happiness Capital (Hong Kong), and Blue Heron Ventures (US). Existing investors Archetype Ventures and ALL STAR SAAS FUND also participated in the follow-on investment.
Voxela's flagship platform, "VCare," utilizes AI to analyze network camera feeds and automate indirect operations in care facilities. Beyond conventional fall detection, the platform provides end-to-end support for recording accident situations, generating incident reports, conducting incident analysis, and streamlining nighttime patrols. By reducing the manual recording burden on on-site staff, Voxela aims to create an environment where caregivers can focus on their primary mission: providing care.
The newly raised funds will primarily be allocated to recruitment efforts aimed at strengthening AI and product development. Specifically, the company plans to further expand features that automate recording, reporting, and management. Additionally, Voxela intends to scale up facility adoptions within the Japanese market while accelerating its full-scale business launch in North America.
