Overview of the Funding

Wunderbar, Inc. has announced that it secured funding in a Series A extension round, bringing its total cumulative funding since inception to over ¥1 billion. This latest round was executed primarily through venture debt provided by The Shizuoka Bank, Ltd. and the National Life Finance Corporation (SME Business) of Japan Finance Corporation. Notably, the company officially changed its corporate name from Skettt, Inc. to Wunderbar, Inc. on September 1, 2026.

Business Overview and Strategic Pivot

Operating under the mission to "build the next-generation IP ecosystem," the company develops the IP marketing platform "Skettt." It has previously captured a significant market share in providing IP utilization support centered around talent and celebrities. Capitalizing on this funding round, the company will aggressively expand its scope beyond the conventional talent domain into anime, characters, and content IP. Through this, it aims to transform into a "global infrastructure for IP distribution" where any company can connect with IP.

Purpose of Funding and Future Outlook

The raised capital will be primarily allocated to the following growth investments:

As the first phase of this expansion, the company has partnered with Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd. to begin offering corporate tie-in campaigns utilizing classic works and characters such as Speed Racer (Mach GoGoGo) and Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. Moving forward, through collaborations with over 30 major publishers and animation production companies, and keeping the government's target of ¥20 trillion in overseas sales for Japan-originated content in sight, the company aims to become a platform connecting IP and enterprises worldwide.
