Program Overview

TiBOOST 2026 (TiBOOST Innovation Leap Program), an innovation initiative designed to connect Taiwan's capital markets with overseas startups, has officially launched. Sponsored by key institutions including the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) and the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE), the program is calling for AI and advanced technology startups from around the world, including Japan. Through the grand finale in Taipei, the program helps participants build robust networks with industry leaders and capital markets.

Program Content and Prizes

The program consists of a forum and a startup competition. In the competition, 10 to 12 companies that pass the initial document screening will advance to the grand finale in Taipei. The total prize pool is 5 million New Taiwan Dollars (approximately $155,000 USD / 24.4 million JPY), with 2.5 million NTD awarded for first place, 1.5 million NTD for second place, and 1 million NTD for third place. Overseas finalists will also receive travel and accommodation subsidies of up to $1,500 USD per company.

Target Sectors and Background

Against the backdrop of Taiwan's national strategic initiative, the "AI New Ten Major Constructions," the program focuses on critical next-generation technology domains such as Generative AI, Edge AI, Silicon Photonics, Quantum Technology, and Smart Robotics. It aims to connect innovative technologies with Taiwan's investment ecosystem while creating growth opportunities geared toward future listings on Taiwan's Innovation Board.

Application Guidelines and Schedule

Applicants must have a track record of securing at least one round of external funding or have completed initial market validation. The application deadline is September 29, 2026. Following document reviews, finalists will be announced on October 23, and the grand finale will take place in Taipei on November 10. For startups aiming to expand their business in the Asian market, this program serves as a major stepping stone for international expansion utilizing Taiwan as a base.
